How to make a photo collage on Android: Samsung Gallery, Google Photos, and online
Every guide tells iPhone owners how to make a collage; Android owners get a paragraph. That is backwards: Android has more built-in options than the iPhone, they just live in different places depending on the brand. Here is where to find them on a Samsung, on a Pixel, and on everything else, plus the one method that is the same on all of them.

Other brands (Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, Oppo) ship a gallery with a similar Collage entry, usually under a Create, More or Edit menu after selecting photos; the steps below for Samsung apply with minor differences.
2. Samsung Gallery: the best built-in option on Android
Samsung's Gallery collage is more flexible than anything on the iPhone: adjustable cells, borders, background and ratio.
- Open Gallery, long-press the first photo, tap the others (two to six).
- Tap the three dots in the corner, or Create at the bottom, and choose Collage.
- Pick a layout from the row at the bottom. Drag a divider to resize cells; drag inside a cell to reframe; tap a cell to replace its photo.
- Use the Border slider (width and roundness), the Ratio button (1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and more) and the background color.
- Tap Save. The collage is a new image in your gallery.
Where it stops: six photos, a fixed family of grid layouts (no magazine page, no shapes), no text, and an export sized for the screen, which is fine for a post or a story and short for an 8 x 10 print. Menu names vary slightly between One UI versions; if Collage is not under Create, look under the three-dot menu.

Google Photos is the default gallery on Pixel phones and installed on most others. Its collage tool is the same on every Android phone.
- Select two to six photos.
- Tap the plus button at the top of the screen, then Collage.

- Tap Save.

4. Chrome: a full collage maker with nothing to install
Open a collage maker in Chrome and you get what the gallery tools lack: more layouts, more photos, text, format presets, print sizes. StudioCollage runs entirely in the browser: the photos are read from your phone and never uploaded, there is no account, and the download has no watermark.

- A story with a grid and nothing cut by the interface: Chrome, with the story preset.
- A collage with text, a title or a date: Chrome.
